So today was mostly a road day as I made my way from Green River, UT this morning towards Breckenridge, CO. About a 5 hour drive, it was one of the most scenic I have had on the road trip. For a good portion of the drive, I drove along side the Colorado River and through the stunning mountain scenery. Not a terrible way to kick off week 4! So my apologies as this is likely not the most exciting post you will read from my blog! One dilemma I am going to face here shortly is I am nearly out of audiobooks. I’ve become somewhat of an addict – I suppose there are far worse things to become addicted to. I have a long one in the queue for my longest day on the road for the whole trip which is coming up this week, and after that I will have to find some more – so any suggestions…I’m all ears!
Now that I have put you to sleep talking about scenic drives and audiobooks…so sorry.
I arrived in Breckenridge, which is a beautiful place in the Rocky Mountains, about 1:30pm and was fortunately able to check in to my hotel early. I rewarded myself after a couple of long days on the road an hour-long power nap. It was glorious and much needed! The only thing on my agenda today – I wanted to take it easy mostly because I was tired from the back-to-back driving days and felt it best to plan a recovery period – was to drive over to Littleton, CO to stop by one of my favorite brewerys – Breckenridge Brewery. I took the tour of their brand new, state-of-the-art, and mostly green facility, and followed it up with a tasting and then a great dinner at the farmhouse next door, and worked on my plan for tomorrow. It was a great end to the day!
Yep – short post tonight! Like I said, not too much on the agenda today other than a beautiful drive!
Until next time…
