Part 35: My Oscar Night Predictions

Well it’s officially that time. Hollywood’s biggest night kicks off in less than an hour, I’ve watched as many nominated films as I could squeeze in these last couple of weeks (along with the Olympics), and I’m breaking it down by category right here, right now.

I’ve ranked these in order of my personal preference, so these aren’t technically “predictions”!  If I was not able to watch the movie you’ll see a “dnw” next to it and I have dropped them to the bottom of my list for my own sanity.  I did not watch any of the Foreign Language films (sadly) or the Live Action Shorts as I ran out of time and couldn’t find many of them…so I am not including them below.

Dang some of these categories arena brainers and some are so so tough.  Excited to see how it plays out given I have never watched this many of the nominees in advance.

Enjoy the show…hopefully the get the cards right this year and we don’t have another Warren Beaty situation again.

  1. I have enjoyed this series on the Oscars simply because you explained the categories so well, and why each nomination fit the category! Some of the movies I had seen, will got to see, or will pass them up. I learned where to find the documentaries and now know some interesting things to look for when I go to watch movies! Thanks, I learned a lot and enjoyed the input and enlightenment!
